Sherry Shipman represents individuals and businesses in civil litigation matters. Ms. Shipman has represented clients in claims that include violations of the DTPA (Deceptive Trade Practice Act), breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, employment law claims (sexual harassment, race, sex, national origin and religious discrimination, worker’s compensation retaliation, noncompete and nonsolicitation agreements), civil rights violations, breach of partnership agreement, bad faith insurance claims, shareholder derivative claims and oil and gas disputes.
Dan Steppick has spent his legal career practicing civil litigation in virtually every corner of the State of Texas. He has prioritized his representation of product manufacturers, oil field services companies, design professionals, construction contractors, employers, insureds and insurers. Mr. Steppick has taken cases from inception through trial and appeal. He has represented clients in multiple claims for death and catastrophic personal injury, as well as business claims for large monetary and injunctive relief.
Amanda Montgomery-Childress joined Shipman Steppick as an Associate in September 2009. Prior to coming to the firm, she was selected to serve a one-year term as Judicial Clerk to Justice Anne Gardner on the Second Court of Appeals in Fort Worth, Texas where she assisted in the research and drafting of judicial opinions.
